At Goduco Smiles, we proudly offer Invisalign® to patients in Vernon Hills, IL, and the surrounding areas. Invisalign® is an innovative treatment that uses clear aligner trays to gently and subtly straighten teeth. Dr. Philip V. Goduco uses this advanced treatment to help patients discreetly achieve the straighter smile they desire. He can also use Invisalign® following a round of traditional braces to give you a completely healthy, straight smile.

ARE YOU A CANDIDATE
FOR INVISALIGN?

However, Dr. Goduco often combines Invisalign® with traditional braces to provide superior results for all patients, especially those with severe dental misalignment. Even on its own, Invisalign® may be appropriate to treat various orthodontic issues, including:

HOW DOES INVISALIGN® WORK?

To provide accurate treatment, Dr. Goduco will create digital impressions of your jaw using our advanced iTero® scanner. He can display the images on a chair-side computer, designing your custom aligner trays and explaining your treatment to you. He can also show you how your teeth will move over time. After designing the trays, he will send these designs to a certified Invisalign® lab, where specialized technicians will create your trays.
Invisalign® trays are very comfortable and gentle on your teeth. The aligners have a smooth surface, which will not irritate your lips or cheeks.

Goduco Smiles will provide the series of trays for your treatment, and you will wear each one for at least 20 hours a day. About every two weeks, you will move onto the next tray in the series. The number of trays you receive will depend on the degree of issues being corrected, and if you receive traditional braces before your Invisalign® treatment. Your aligners will be crafted from smooth, nearly invisible plastic, and each tray will have a slightly different shape. With these precise shape variations, the aligners will place a slight force on your teeth, gradually straightening them over the next several months.

WHY CHOOSE
INVISALIGN?

Dr. Goduco proudly offers Invisalign® because of the many advantages this treatment can provide. First, Invisalign® trays are much more subtle than traditional braces, providing far more discreet treatment. Even if you require metal braces first, with Invisalign®, your smile can look bright and healthy before you are finished with orthodontic treatment. Invisalign® trays are also very comfortable and gentle on your teeth. The aligners have a smooth surface, which will not irritate your lips or cheeks.

This advanced cosmetic treatment is also very convenient. You will need to make fewer visits to our office than you would for standard braces. Because the trays are removable, it will be easier to clean your teeth, and you can enjoy all of your favorite foods. Most importantly, Invisalign® is highly effective. By straightening your teeth and correcting bite issues, the trays can improve your appearance, reduce the risk of dental decay, and lower your risk for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.
